On Saturday, April 26 at 5 p.m. the Zambia Project will be hosting its sixth annual “World of Hope Gala.” The gala is a dinner and silent auction that will raise funds for Zambia Open Community Schools.
As the Zambia Project’s largest annual fundraiser, the event supports the Zambia Project’s mission to “provide hope to Zambia and Africa’s most vulnerable children through the betterment of educational opportunities.”
This year’s event will be held in Michels Ballroom and consist of African dancers, a speech by Austin Gutwein and different aspects of Zambia culture. The event will also include a meal, a cash bar and a silent auction.
Students and community members are welcomed to “Come on out and enjoy a night with friends and family while supporting an amazing cause.”
Advance purchase of tickets will be required for the event. Students can purchase tickets for $17 with custom cash and meal dollars. For the general public, the cost of the event is $35.
Zambia Project members are very excited to host the event, saying, “The World of Hope Gala is an excellent opportunity to show your support for a child’s right to education and learn more about Zambian culture, while also bidding on some great items donated by local businesses.”
