It iss the lunchtime rush at Phil’s on a dreary Monday afternoon. You want your food to come as quick as possible because your day is crammed with homework, studying, meetings for organizations and trying to squeeze in time with some friends. As you are ordering your chicken strips basket you are delighted by smile and sweetness from Agnes Miller. Agnes is no ordinary worker at Phil’s; she is a joy and brings a smile to every single person that she encounters.
Freshman student Meg Curi loves Agnes and thinks she is a very special woman, “Her smile is contagious and her positive energy is something I admire. Agnes truly represents communio because she treats every student with kindness. Even though I am only a freshman, Agnes will always stand out as one of the best people I met in college.” Agnes has made an impact on everyone from freshman to seniors, to even the faculty and staff.
Agnes will always be remembered at St. Norbert College for her commitment and caring nature to each person she met. She was personable and used every person’s name when taking their order. She wanted to know how your day was going. Her smile will be remembered within our community.
After 18 years of incredible service, Agnes will retire from Phil’s. A retirement party was held on May 8 in the Campus Center Lounge with hors d’oeuvres, cake and beverages. As you are using up the last of your meal dollars, remember to say goodbye to Agnes and thank her for her incredible service.
