As summer is approaching and you are starting to freak out because you have no idea what you are going to do with all that free time, I have a solution. Go see a concert. Summer is a popular time for artists and bands to come out and play their top hits for fans all around the country. Many students on campus reside in the Midwest region which is amongst some of the most popular concert destinations this summer.
This summer big bands and festivals are coming to the Chicago, Milwaukee and Minneapolis areas. Below is a list of some of the concerts that you might look to go see. Hurry up and get your tickets before they are gone.
This summer Chicago is booming with concerts both in the city and in the suburbs. Whether you are a fan of alternative, pop, rock, country or the oldies, they are guaranteed to have something for you to go and see. Some of the hot concerts in the city this summer are Lana Del Rey, Beyonce and Jay-Z, Jack Johnson, Foster the People, Wired Friday’s, Cage the Elephant and Don Melas. If you are looking for a large music festival, I suggest you check out the famous Lollapalooza. The suburbs of Chicago also have some great featured music from John Legend, Bruno Mars, One Republic, Fall out Boy, Darius Rucker and Avicii.
Milwaukee is famous for their Summerfest music concert festival. If you are looking for a large concert festival and the opportunity to see a variety of different bands, I recommend that you visit the Summerfest website to check out the artist and bands playing. If you are not interested in attending a music festival Milwaukee is also hosting concerts for The Black Keys and Cage the Elephant, Lady Antebellum, Austin Mahone, Everclear, Micheal Buble, Counting Crows, Panic at the Disco, Jack White, Motley Crew, Zac Brown, Lady Gaga, Luke Bryant and many more.
For those of you living more north in the Minneapolis area, there are quite a few concerts playing in your area. This summer, Lady Gaga, Cage the Elephant, Steve Earle, Cher, Need to Breathe, The Script, The Fray, Neon Trees, Andy Grammar, Basilica and many more will perform. Minneapolis is also a great city to find new and upcoming artists. Every weekend there are a series of new artists playing at the First Avenue Concert Center in Minneapolis. Check it out because you never know when they could be the next big thing.
Overall, this summer there are many exciting concerts and festivals happening all around the Midwest region. The concerts listed here are just a few of the most popular concerts; there are many more in addition to these to choose from.
