Football (6-4)

Results – Nov. 8 – L St. Norbert 13 vs Macalester 21

Nov.15 – MWC Fifth-Place Game: W St. Norbert 35 vs Cornell 28: The Green Knights end the first season of the Opgenorth era in dramatic fashion. St. Norbert avenged their narrow loss to Cornell from early October by stunning the Rams and overcoming a 28-7 fourth quarter deficit.

Grand Knight- Jerry Blake ’16: 8 Tackles, 2.5 Sacks: The junior defensive lineman not only led the strong effort that enabled the offense to mount the prolific comeback but also sealed the victory with his fourth down sack.

Volleyball (16-14)

Results – Midwest Conference Tournament (Mount Vernon, Iowa):

Nov. 7 – W St. Norbert 3 matches vs Carroll 1 match

Nov.8 – L St. Norbert 1 vs Cornell 3: Despite a clutch team performance in the semifinal, the Green Knights fell to an elite Rams squad in the championship contest.

Grand Knight- Bethani Thibodeau ’98: According to St. Norbert College Sports Information Director Dan Lukes on Nov. 10, the seven year head coach received a promotion from Acuity Insurance and as a result resigned from her coaching duties. During her tenure, Thibodeau guided the Green Knights to MWC dominance by posting a 49-7 conference record as well as capturing three conference tournament titles.

Cross Country

Results – Division III Midwest Regional (Winneconne, WI)

Men’s: Overall, 24/38, 704 points

Grand Knights- Sasha Maro ’18: 118/265, 26.50.70, Dan Reigh ’16: 135/265, 27.08.20, Michael Heise ’15: 140/265, 27.15.00

Women’s: Overall, 12/40, 355 points

Grand Knights- Charlotte Walsh ’16: 37/281, 22.26.50, Erin Artz ’17: 41/281, 22.35.60, Alyssa Price ’17: 66/281, 23:02.20

Men’s Hockey (5-0-1)

Results – Nov. 7 – W St. Norbert 7 vs Finlandia 1

Nov. 8 – W St. Norbert 12 vs Finlandia 0

Nov. 14 – W St. Norbert 3 at Lake Forest 1

Nov. 15 – T St. Norbert 2 vs Lake Forest 2: Until producing a stalemate with the Foresters in the second of a home and home series, the Green Knights had rattled off a school record, 16 straight victories.

Grand Knight- Cullen Bradshaw ’15: 6 PTS- 1 G, 5 A: The senior winger joined in on the fun in the laugher over the Lions, notching a goal and three assists. His offensive outbreak over the last two weeks has earned him the title of leading scorer on Division III’s premier team.


Women’s Hockey (3-3)

Results – Nov. 7 – L St. Norbert 1 at Lake Forest 5

Nov. 8 – L St. Norbert 1 at Lake Forest 5

Nov. 14 – W St. Norbert 4 at St. Scholastica 1

Nov. 15 – L St. Norbert 3 at St. Scholastica 1: The Green Knights struggled during a brutal four game road stretch in Lake Forest and Duluth. They look to bounce back with a five game home stand before the Holiday season.

Grand Knight- Katie Conlon ’15: 3 PTS- 1 G, 2 A: The senior contributed two points, including a go ahead goal, in a much needed win against Saints.

Men’s Basketball (1-0)

Results- Nov.15 – W St. Norbert 67 at UW-Oshkosh 50: The Green Knights began this promising 2014-15 campaign in the fashion in which they played all of last season: firing. As a team they shot at a scorching 56 percent and knocked down 5 three-pointers.

Grand Knight- Steven Hofacker ’15: 16 PTS, 9 Blocks: The 6’8’’ big man dominated on both phases of the game in the season opener. More impressively, he shattered the school record for blocked shots with 9.

Women’s Basketball (1/2-0/1) UPDATE AFTER SUNDAY 3:00 GAME

Results – St. Norbert College Tip-Off Classic:

Nov. 15 – W St. Norbert 64 vs UW-Stout 57

Nov. 16 – W St. Norbert 76 vs UW-Superior 46

The Green Knights clobbered UW-Superior en-route to a convincing win against a familiar WIAC opponent. St. Norbert shot nearly 60 percent from the field (55.6) during a first half-barrage that saw the Green Knights jump to a 43-20 lead.

Grand Knight- Regan Carmichael ¢17: 15 PTS, 5 Rebounds, 2 Assists: Carmichael shot a mere 50 percent (5-10 FGs) from the field, but her work from beyond the arc (3-7) paved the way for the Green Knights.
