The Lady Green Knights ended their season and playoff run on March 4 with a 10-point loss to George Fox University in the NCAA Division III Central Regional Tournament in Stevens Point, Wis. After falling behind by 13 points in the first four-and-a-half minutes of the game, the Green Knights could not regain momentum, eventually losing 64-54. Stephanie Weigman ’16 was the only Green Knight to score in double digits, tallying 19 points.

Even with the loss in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament, the Green Knights had an excellent season, finishing with a stellar 21-5 record. After having a 13-game winning streak in the later part of the season, they came up big in the MWC Tournament Championship against Cornell College, winning a nail-biter, 56-53.

Along with a conference championship, Coach Tilley was named the league’s Coach of the Year on the All-Midwest Conference Team. This is her eighth time winning this award. Four players also received recognition: Regan Carmichael ’17 and Weigman both received First-Team All-MWC honors, while Brianna Byrne ’17 and Jill Kleiman ’17 received Second-Team All-MWC honors.
