Record: 4-2, 4-0 in Conference
The St. Norbert Football team struggled in the beginning of the year, dropping their first two games to UW-Steven’s Point and Benedictine University. Lucky for the Green Knights these were both non-conference games. Since then, St. Norbert has won 3 straight conference games in a row. Their offense has been on fire, averaging 51 points in conference play. Their 3-0 record in conference play, brings them to 3rd in the Midwest Conference.
Record: 12-3, 5-1 in Conference
The St. Norbert Men’s Soccer team has done very well this season and with a 4-1 conference record they are sitting at 2nd. The team has had a very difficult schedule facing 3 top 25 teams in nonconference play. They topped number 2 ranked Loras but played to tight losses against Concordia Wisconsin and St. Olaf. They have done well since the conference season began winning 9 of their last 11 and have had 7 clean sheets in that stretch. They travelled to Iowa this weekend and found a 1-0 victory over Grinnell Saturday and look to continue their winning ways vs. Cornell Sunday, results came in after press time.
Record: 9-13, 4-1 in Conference
The St. Norbert Volleyball team has battled this year with an overall record of 9-13, but have done well in conference play with a 4-1 record. They are second in the Midwest Standings. They have won 3 in a row and are looking for a 4th consecutive victory when they travel to Monmouth next Friday.
Record: 7-5-1, 3-2-1 in Conference
The St. Norbert Women’s Soccer team started off well by winning four of their first five, but then lost three of their next five after. They are on the upswing again winning 2 of their last 3. They travelled to Iowa this weekend and lost to Grinnell saturday 2-1 and looked to turn it around vs. Cornell on Sunday, the result came in after press time.
The Women’s Golf team’s season actually ended last week at the conference meet, where they placed 5th. It was a very good season for the Knights as they set a lot of personal bests. The three meets before conference they set a new team best, finally cracking the 700 score mark at the UW Stevens Point Invitational on October 2nd.
Record: 10-6, 8-1 in Conference
The St. Norbert Women’s Tennis team has been absolutely stellar in conference play this year and have earned a berth at the Midwest Conference Championship by finishing second. The team has dominated in conference play, sweeping seven of eight matches 9-0. Their only loss was a close 5-4 against Grinnell College. They played the conference tournament in Madison, results came in after press time.
Men’s Cross Country
The St. Norbert Men’s Cross Country team have done well this season, finishing in the top five 3 times. They got sixth in their latest meet and are looking forward to competing in Kenosha and Oshkosh this weekend.
Women’s Cross Country
The St. Norbert Women’s Cross Country have been on a roll this year. They have won 4 meets this year and their worst finish has been 6th. Erin Artz has been a star this season, last Monday being recognized as Division III runner of the week. Two weeks ago at Lawrence they had a perfect score, sweeping not only the podium but the top 11 spots. They continued this momentum Saturday, taking 4th at the UW Oshkosh Invitational, placing over 4 nationally ranked squads.
